Obituary for Barbara Hitchcock George Barbara Hitchcock George, 84, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully Thur. June 28, 2018 in the Donnell House, Washington, PA. She was born April 28, 1934 in Montclair, NJ.

, a daughter of the late Richard and Helen Brewster Hitchcock. Barbara was a graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. She worked as a Registered Nurse in various hospitals and retired from Somerset Hospital in New Jersey.

She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in South Connellsville. Barbara like to read and was a history enthusiast. She was also a avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

Barbara will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving sons Michael George and wife Diane of Connellsville and James George and wife Jennifer of Yorktown, VA. , her grandchildren Matthew, Kimberly, Richard, Katrina, and Zachary George, her brother Robert Hitchcock and wife Lois of Virginia, and her sister Elizabeth “Tizz” Anderson and husband Nick of Gibsonia. In addition to her parents Barbara was predeceased by her husband Donald H. George on Aug.

1, 2014. Family and friends will be received Mon. from 5-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St. Connellsville (724-628-1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Tue.

at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Steven Lamb officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
