Freddie Mae Allen was born on July 6, 1927, in Arcadia, Louisiana. Freddie Mae departed this life on May 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Taylor, father, King Malone, and sisters, Viola Harris and Annie B. Dennis.

Freddie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Harmony Baptist Church in Arcadia. She later joined Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was a faithful member until her illness. One of her proudest memories as a member of Palestine was a trip to The Holy Land in 1984, led by Pastor Earl Abel.

Freddie moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1952 and was employed by National Bellas Hess and Loctite before retiring in 1990. She will be remembered as a strong woman of faith who passed on her love of God to her family. Freddie loved attending Sunday school, and was a member of the Mary Magdalene Circle and Inspirational Choir at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church.

She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading. One of Freddie’s greatest joys was her daily phone call with her sister, Clotiel Taylor. Mrs. Freddie Mae Allen leaves to cherish her memory, her seven children: Paul Allen (Julia), Eddie “Nick” Allen, LaFaye Allen, Shirley Taylor (Jerry), Tommie Allen (Elaine), Anita Law all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Alicia Allen of Plano, Texas; her sisters, Clotiel Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ruth Woods and Martha Sims both of Oakland, California; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service for Ms. Freddie Mae Allen will be held Friday, May 11, 11:00 a.m. at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, 3619 E. 35th Street. Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment, Mt.

Moriah Cemetery.
