Fred L. Dahmer, 77, of Weston passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 13, 1941 in Deer Run, WV in Pendleton County to the late Fred A. and Leah M. Dahmer. In addition to his parents, one brother, Harlan Dahmer, preceded Fred in death.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dixie Lee (Weaver) Dahmer, formerly of Dilliner, PA. Also surviving Fred are two daughters: Dawn M. Stafford and husband, Bruce, and Donna L. Moody and husband, Kendell Lee Moody II; two grandsons: Jordan Stafford and companion, Susan Martin, and Aaron Jordan; one granddaughter, Courtney Stafford and companion, Brendan Schwendeman, all of Weston; two brothers-in-law: Sonny Keener and Joseph Weaver and wife, Linda, of PA; one sister-in-law, Macie Dahmer of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Fred graduated from Franklin High School in 1958.

He then attended West Virginia University and granduated with a degree in Agricultural Engeineering and Mechanics in 1962. He worked for International Harvester and retired from the United States Department of Agriculture, A.S.C.S in 1994. Fred was a member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, AARP, WV Agriculture Hall of Fame, National Association of State and County Employees and Weston Moose Lodge #1376 with a Pilgrim Degree.

In honoring Fred’s wishes, he was cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s honor can be made to St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church located at 120 E. 3rd St. Weston, WV 26452. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd.
