Obituary for Gail Agnes Roe Dateline: Godfrey Gail Agnes Roe, 67, died at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in St. Louis, MO. Born October 11, 1950 at the Primary Buffalo Hospital, located above Wagner Drug Store (a local pharmacy and old fashioned soda fountain) in Buffalo, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Phyllis A. (Haverty) Farniok of Macomb, IL, and the late James Thomas Farniok. Ms. Roe attended Western Illinois University and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

She loved with her whole heart in everything she did, and she served God faithfully through her devotion to her church and family. Gail always looked forward to seeing family; especially children. She was a positive influence with her kind words of encouragement and thoughtfulness.

Along with her mother, she is survived by her son, Jamie Roe of Godfrey, five brothers, Jerry Farniok (Pam) of Castle Rock, CO, Timothy Farniok (Jamie) of Dallas City, IL, Michael Farniok (Carla) of Rushville, IL, Patrick Farniok of Macomb, IL, and Craig Farniok (Diane) of Godfrey, four sisters, Linda Fisher (Bill) of Sugar Grove, IL, Pamela Farniok of Springfield, IL, Vicki Ludolph of Nauvoo, IL, and Jacki Lee of Macomb, IL as well as numerous nieces and nephews, her former husband, Bill Roe of Godfrey and her dog, Hershey. She was preceded in death by her father and her son, Charles Michael “Chad” Roe. There will be a prayer service at 2:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Father Steven Janoski and Deacon William Kessler will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
