Gail J. Dion January 06, 1950 – May 26, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gail J. Dion 1950-2019 Westfield Gail J. (Begley) Dion, 69, died peacefully Sunday morning surrounded by loving family and friends. Gail was born in Springfield, grew up in Agawam, and moved to Westfield in 1975. She graduated from Boston University with honors and obtained a master’s degree at AIC in Human Re Development.

She taught at the Agawam Junior High School for 37 years before retiring in 2009. She was a past president of the Agawam Teachers Association and served on the executive board of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She leaves her husband of 47 years, Paul E. Dion Jr., and a brother, Gary Begley, of Myrtle Beach.

Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday from 4-7 PM. For more details visit curranjones.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Baystate Hospice.
