Garry’s Obituary Garry Dean Flemings, 52, of Isola, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola. He was born January 26, 1967 in Belzoni to Melvin Arnold Flemings, Sr. and Minnie Frances Barnett Flemings. Garry was a Security Guard for Douglas Holloway and he also worked on catfish farm equipment.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Garry was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Arnold Flemings, Sr.; one sister, Betty Flemings Bowman; nephew, LeeLee Whitaker. He is survived by his mother, Minnie Frances Barnett Flemings of Isola; wife, Rose Marie Flemings of Isola; three sons, Wilson Flemings and his wife Amanda of Indianola, Nathan Harris and his wife Julia of Inverness, Garry Flemings, Jr. of Isola; four daughters, Lanelle Flemings and her husband Brandon of Bogue Chitto, Deana Moreno and her husband Benjamin of Holly Ridge, Rose Flemings and her boyfriend Blake Smith of Isola, Heather Flemings and her boyfriend Jesus Guerrero of Holly Ridge; three brothers, Melvin Flemings, Jr. of Bono, Arkansas, Buddy Flemings and his husband John of San Bernardino, California, Peewee Flemings of Benoit; two sisters, Tonua Flemings of Greenville, Robin Flemings of Isola and sixteen grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
