OBITUARY Garvin J. Stone, Sr. June 23, 1936 – July 15, 2018 Garvin J. Stone, Sr. LEXINGTON- Garvin J. Stone, Sr., 82, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. He was born in Ridge Spring, SC on June 23, 1936 the son of the late, John Stone and Enes Boatwright Stone. Garvin was a Professional Truck Driver for Southeastern Freight Lines, and retired after 35 years with them.

He was also, owner/operator of Stoneville Stables and Farms, LLC in Lexington, SC. His farm was sold in 2008. Garvin loved working with heavy equipment, loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Melton Stone; daughters, Cathy Dooley and Janet Zanforlin; son Garvin J. Stone Jr. and ex-wife Yvonne Priest, mother of his children. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
