Gary Lynn Bennett, 64, a lifelong resident of Decatur, TN passed Away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at his home. Gary was born in Athens, TN on September 4, 1953 a son of the late John & Crissie Bennett. Gary was very talented doing various jobs in construction and logging to mention a few.

He will forever be remembered for the love he had for his children, grandchildren and family. Gary leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters Denise Shannon and her husband Willie and Alison Bennett (Blake Green), one son John Wesley Bennett, one sister Brenda Kyker (Larry), two brothers Richard Bennett (Kathy) and Stacy Bennett, eight grandchildren – Tyler Kelley, Atlas Shannon, Eva Rae Shannon, Kason Green, Katelyn Bennett, John Bennett, James Bennett and Gracie Erwin, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Max Redman officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time in the funeral home parlor.
