Mr. Gary Steven Vanhoy, 65, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his home. He was born in Forsyth County on February 14, 1954 to the late Johnnie and Maybell Vanhoy. Mr. Vanhoy retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 39 years of service.

He was a member of the Church of Christ at Ketner’s and had a passion for bluegrass music. Mr. Vanhoy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Luann Tuttle Vanhoy; son, Kevin Vanhoy; daughters, Emily Vanhoy and Katie Vanhoy; brother, Johnnie Vanhoy, Jr. and wife, Darlene; two sisters, Sylvia Vanhoy and Teresa Bliss and husband, Adam. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Church of Christ at Ketner’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Trellis Supportive Care and his family and friends for all the care that was given.
