Obituary for Gene Bailey Mr. Gene William Bailey, age 67 of 2716 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, Ga. , widower of Elaine Stout Bailey, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Athens, Ga.

He was born on August 12, 1950 in Royston, Ga. to Ralph and Totsie Crump Bailey. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army and worked in the textile industry.

He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He is survived by: son Erik (Michelle) Bailey of Toccoa, Ga.

, son Heath (Jennifer) Bailey of Acworth, Ga. , siblings, Jimmy (Wanda) Bailey of Hartwell, Ga. , grandchildren, Claire and Morgan Bailey, Ansley and Taylor Bailey, Dayton and Gracie Fowler and Braxton Lewallen.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Judy Bryant. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at eleven o’clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev.

Jason Webb will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Baptist cemetary with military honors.

The family will recieve friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 6-8pm at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Christian Recreation League Elaine Bailey Memorial Scholarship in memory of Elaine Stout Bailey.
