Obituary for Gennaro Salvatore “Gene” Carfagno Gennaro Salvatore “Gene” Carfagno, 91, of Lebanon died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the home of his daughter where he resided since 2003. He was the husband of the late Mildred McCann Carfagno who died in 2003. Born in Norristown on May 5, 1927, he was the son of the late Anthony and Julia Gillete Carfagno.

He was a senior tool engineer with the West Company retiring in 1988. Gene served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall, the Kimberton Fire Company, and enjoyed playing cards and bingo at the Myerstown Senior Center. Surviving is a daughter Mary Ellen wife of Walter Fahringer with whom he lived, a son Eugene wife of Vicki Carfagno of Pottstown, a brother, Joseph Carfagno of North Carolina, three sisters, Rose Valentine of Florida, Catherine Seeley of Florida, Louise Randrup of Florida, three grandchildren Jennifer Carfagno wife of John Schmitt of Arizona, Michael Gemma of Parksburg, Gina Carfagno of Exeter, four great grandchildren, Melissa, Megan, Kyra, and Michael, and a dear companion and friend Nancy Sanger of Lebanon.

Memorial Mass will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2596 Cornwall Road, Lebanon. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Phoenixville. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
