Geno Domenic Rivi, 92, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in his residence. A son of the late Charles Rivi and Lucy (Camisa) Rivi, he was born April 5, 1926 in Rimersburg, PA. Geno was a 1944 graduate of Leechburg High School.

He served in the U.S. Marines as a Corporal during World War II. Geno had been employed as craneman for over 40 years with Allegheny Ludlum Steel retiring in December 1987. He worked at his job like he wanted to be the best.

Geno was a member of the former St. Catherine R.C. Church in Leechburg and the current Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp. He was also a member of the VFW Post 330 in Leechburg and the DAV in Vandergrift. Survivors include ten nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Charles Rivi; and an infant sister, Lena Rivi. Friends welcomed by his family on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, Jan.

3, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp. , with the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B. officiating.

Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery, 614 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Twp.
