Obituary for George B. “Barney” Gage George B. “Barney” Gage, age 84, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 4:50 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Barney was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lillian Gage, his wife, Carolyn Gage, 2 brothers, Dale Gage, and Bill Gage, and 1 sister, Maxine Adams. Barney was a member of Cash Creek Baptist Church.
He worked for McLean Trucking Company for over 25 years before going to work as a driver for Hostess. Together he and his brother owned and operated their own trucking company years ago. Barney was a member of Teamsters Local #215, T.P.A. and the Moose Lodge #732.
He enjoyed gardening and always shared his vegetables with those he loved. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Kim Williams and her husband Frankie of Henderson, KY 1 Son: Tim Gage and his wife Michele of Henderson, KY 3 Brothers: Richard Gage of Bertrand, MO, Warren Gage of Benton, MO, Don Gage of Charleston, MO 2 Sisters: Mary Lou Bradley of Charleston, MO, Theda Williams of Sikeston, MO 3 Grandchildren: Ashley and Jacob Williams, and McKenzie Gage 4 Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to Barney’s Life Celebration from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and again on Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Patterson officiating.
