George “Jerry” Hart, age 81, of China Twp. , passed away January 24, 2019 at home with his loving family at his side. Jerry was born May 16, 1937 in Mt.

Clemens General Hospital to the late George and Florence Hart. Following high school Jerry proudly served with the U.S. Navy. On October 11, 1958 he married Phyllis Gaudette in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City.

Jerry was Past President of the St. Clair Lions Club and was District Governor of District 11-D2. Jerry loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders – Chapter F. He also enjoyed camping and the art of wood burning. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phylllis Hart; children, Jeri Lynn Hart, Dean (Nicole) Hart and David (Danielle) Hart; grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, Lauren, Ethan and Evan; sister, Atha (Bill) Tucker and his beloved companion, Ziva.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Wednesday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of St. Clair County SNAP or Blue Water Hospice. To leave a message of comfort visit www.
