George Kenneth Fowler, age 76, of Spruce Pine, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, George was born on February 14, 1943 to the late Colin and Laice Rose Mary Fowler. George was a master painter, a great homemaker and gardener.

He was known to have a beautiful voice and will be greatly missed. George is survived by three brothers, Colon Fowler (Coleen), Charles Fowler and Donald Fowler; one sister, Jeannie Lannes (Ralph); two sisters-in-law, Elaine and Diane (George) and many extended family members. A private service to celebrate George’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, North Carolina 28777.
