George L. Mitchell, Jr. 40, died Monday December 24, 2018 in Kingston. Born July 14, 1978 in Kingston he is the son of George Mitchell, Sr. and the late Theodora (Dubois).

George worked construction and masonry in the area and was a well-known jokester. He will be remembered as a good spirited man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Surviving is his wife Takiya Mitchell and his eight children; Geosie Mitchell, Malaika Mitchell, George Mitchell, III, Gabriel Mitchell, Ghazir Brodhead, Theodora Mitchell, Therron Mitchell, Shyquana Jones.

One grandchild Naylani Royal also survives as well as his siblings; Nikesia Dubois and Shamel Mitchell. A host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces and nephews also survive. Two sisters Blossom and Cherry Mitchell died previously.

Flowers are welcome; donations to the family will also be accepted.
