TURNER—Mr. George Richard Turner, age 99, passed away on September 22, 2018 in Palatka, FL. George was born August 4, 1919 in Brunswick, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Eunice Spooner Turner in 2010.

George graduated from Auburn University and retired from Frito Lay Corporation as an accountant. After retirement, George and Eunice moved from Jacksonville to live peacefully on Lake Delancy in the Ocala National Forest. He was an avid fisherman and believed the gods do not deduct from man’s allotted span the hours spent while fishing.

He also loved gardening and sharing his fresh vegetables with family and friends. He is survived by sons Gerald and Glenn. Visitation will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens 111 Blanding Blvd.

, Orange Park, FL on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM and a Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a local charity of your choice.
