Obituary for Gerald D. “Buddy” Cauthen Mr. Gerald D. “Buddy” Cauthen, 67, of Lancaster passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Levine Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate. He was born September 9, 1950 in Lancaster, a son of the late James Glenmore Cauthen and Elizabeth Gainey Cauthen. Mr. Cauthen was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

He was a volunteer at McDonald Green Fire Department from the age of 16. Mr. Cauthen loved to hunt, fish, ride horses and his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Gamecock fan.

Mr. Cauthen retired from Springs Industries. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Cauthen will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 3 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Pace and Rev.

Todd Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Gamecock fans are encouraged to wear their colors.

Mr. Cauthen is survived by a son, Tony Cauthen and his girlfriend Lisa Rowell Snipes of Lancaster; two sisters, Freida C. Cauthen and her husband Eric and June C. Rockholt and her husband Robert all of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews; a special great-nephew, Brad Yarborough and his wife Deborah of Myrtle Beach; a great-great nephew, Noah Kent Tanner of Manning, SC. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Alton “Bubba” Cauthen; two sisters, Glennie C. Klingbeil and Shirley C. Harper; a niece, Ramona K. Yarborough; and a great-niece, Karen Yarborough Tanner. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church and other times at the home of Freida and Eric, 3671 Mt.

Carmel Road, Heath Springs, SC.
