Gerald’s Obituary Zimmerman, Gerald E. Frankenmuth, MI (formerly of Saginaw, MI) Passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home with family by his side; age 78 years. Gerald was born on April 13, 1940 in Flint, MI to the late Edward and Beatrice (Roseveare) Zimmerman. Gerald honorably served in the U.S. Army and was a computer programmer until his retirement.

He enjoyed his Yorkies and working in his yard, and was an automotive enthusiast. Surviving are: sons Brett (Angie) Zimmerman of Frankenmuth, and Ken (Elizabeth) Zimmerman of Midland, MI; grandchildren Ashley Zimmerman, Luke (fiancé Janae Hollenbeck), Trenton, Noah, Nathan, Joel and Emily Zimmerman; brother Dale Zimmerman and very special friend Pat Monaghan. According to Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Private family services will take place. Interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Veteran Support Center www.
