Gerald O. Hellickson, age 90, of Preston, MN passed away peacefully at the Harmony Care Center in Harmony, MN on Friday, November 23, 2018. Funeral services for Gerald Hellickson will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston, MN with Pastor Dan Bredberg officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 A.M. on Monday morning at the church.

Burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery in Preston, MN. Gerald Otis Hellickson was born May 21, 1928 near Ostrander, MN. He farmed and lived in the Preston area for 68 years and was actively involved until his passing.

The highlight of his day was morning coffee with friends and family. Gerald was a very active member of the Pork Producers and was instrumental in organizing the Pork Wagon. He married Elaine Marzolf on July 22, 1950.

Gerald is survived by his wife, 3 children Pat (Ron) Scheevel of Preston, MN, Gary (Joyce) Hellickson of Preston, MN, and Judy (Todd) Nehring of Erie, CO, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a brother Richard Hellickson of Preston, MN, a sister Marlene McKenzie of Preston, MN, a sister-in-law Betty Hellickson of Preston, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made out to Christ Lutheran Church in Preston, MN or Harmony Care Center in Harmony, MN.
