Beloved father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles. Age 78 years. Born February 15, 1941 to the late Fred and Matilda (Genske) Druelle, Jerry was born February 15, 1941 in Saginaw and was a lifelong resident of the Saginaw area.

He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1959 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jerry married Kathleen L. Donaldson on his birthday, February 15, 1969 and remained inseparable for 48 years. She predeceased him April 19, 2017.

Jerry was a longtime member of Second Presbyterian Church. He was also a dedicated worker at the General Motors Malleable Iron Plant for 41 years until his retirement. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family friends.

He liked to camp, was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers, collected baseball cards, and loved his cat, Misty. Jerry also spent many years coaching little league baseball as well as youth basketball and soccer. More than anything, Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are one son, one daughter and their spouses, Jeremy (Julie) Druelle, Grand Rapids; Courtney (Steve) Ross, Saginaw; grandchildren, Ambria, Braden, Abby and Alexa Druelle, Dakota, Chayton and Avery Ross; brothers, Bob (Carol) Druelle and Denny Druelle; many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene, whom he often talked about and cared deeply for. Jerry’s family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles and Heart to Heart Hospice for their support and wonderful care.

Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Road in Saginaw. Rev. James Neumann will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at Second Presbyterian Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
