Shuberg, Geraldine “Jeri” Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Wellspring Meadowview, at the age of 93 years. Geraldine “Jeri” Biddlecome was born July 17, 1925, in Big Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of the late Clyde and Winnie (Granger) Biddlecome. She graduated from Big Rapids High School with the Class of 1943.

She married Carl Shuberg on May 28, 1948; he predeceased her January 18, 1997. She had been an active member of First Congregational Church, Saginaw, and was a member of the Bridget Fuller Circle, Treasurer of SERV, and a member of the candy maker ladies group. She was also a member of P.E.O., Chapter A.H. Surviving are three daughters, one son and their spouses, Pat and Ray Zawacki, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Dick and Lana Shuberg, DeWitt, Michigan; Linda and Bruce Dykstra, Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Jane and Bryan Cook, Freeland, Michigan; nine grandchildren and their spouses: Sara and Jeff Dorer, Jay and Molly Zawacki, Amber and Brad Hassler, Brad and Lisa Zawacki, Kyle and Erin Shuberg, Jill Shuberg, Lindsay and Andy Klumpp, Sam and Lori Dykstra, Emily and Parker Laabs; 14 great-grandchildren: Sylvie, Gus, Natalie, Henry, Mason, Grant, Beckett, Pierce, Lillian, Kaylin, Ted, Eloise, Charlotte, and Bryan, and another great-grandchild due in March of 2019.

She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and their families. Jeri was the last of her generation in both the Biddlecome and Shuberg families. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Wilton, and by her brother, Jack Biddlecome; and was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Arnie.

Private committal services have taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at First Congregational Church, 403 S. Jefferson Street, where Jeri’s family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service. Lay Pastor Janice Thomas will officiate.
