Gertrude Eileen Tryon went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Westminster Village in Terre Haute, Indiana. Eileen was born May 4, 1923 in Terre Haute to Oscar and Sylvia Tryon. Eileen spent her 95 years in Terre Haute and retired from Indiana State University.

She enjoyed making candles as a hobby and spending time with family. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Paul Tryon and Thomas Allen Tryon. She is survived by one niece, Meggie Tryon of Orlando, Florida and two nephews, Michael Tryon(Gail) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Geoffrey Tryon (Betsy) of Homer Glen, Illinois.

Services will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Lee will be officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Online condolences may be made to www.
