DATELINE: GROVER, NORTH CAROLINA GERTRUDE LOUISE JENKINS WRIGHT Gertrude Louise Jenkins Wright, 83 of Grover, NC, passed away on May 22, 2018 at Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC. Born in Gaston County NC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Gertrude Bessie (Mason) Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her brother Ernest Lee Jenkins, Jr. and infant sister Marie Jenkins.

Gertrude was a member of Kings Mountain Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed dancing and traveling, especially to Lake Norman. She also enjoyed dressing up each Halloween where she made her own costumes and hosted a wiener roast for her family and friends.

Gertrude was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
