DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Rebecca “Becky” Jean Coyle Melton Rebecca Jean Coyle Melton, 72, of Wake Forest, NC, formerly of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on April 30, 2018. She was born in Cherokee County, SC, to the late John Coyle and Sarah Adair Coyle. Rebecca was preceded in death by her loving husband and light of her life of 47 years, Billy “Bug” Melton.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Puryear and Laura Hodges, her brothers-in-law, Tom Melton, Harry Melton, Randall Dixon and Brooks McAbee, and sisters-in-law, Lillian Harrison and Priscilla Melton. Rebecca was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved caring for her family, her home and enjoyed reading and tending her gardens.
