Gilbert Hernandez, Jr., 52, of Waukegan passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born June 23, 1966 in Waukegan and was a life long resident. Gilbert was a member of Local 152 for many years and retired in July 2018 working last for Campanella & Sons.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Linda (nee Sargent) Hernandez; children, Caden and Meagan Hernandez; parents, Gilbert and Rosa (nee Lopez) Hernandez of Waukegan; siblings, George Hernandez of Waukegan, Rosa Hernandez of Zion, Martha Hernandez of Zion, Lisa Hernandez of Zion, Mike Hernandez of Waukegan, Susie Hernandez of Chicago; many nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifton and Diane Sargent; sisters-in law, Debbie (Ron) Grant of Arizona, Donna (Jeff Prokopek) Sargent of Milwaukee; nieces and nephews, Ronnie Grant, Jr., Garrett Grant, Nicole Grant, Craig Grant, Scott Prokopek, and Diane Prokopek. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan with a short service at 7:30 PM.
