Obituary for Gilles Fauteux Gilles Fauteux passed away at home in Nashua on November 24, 2018. He was born in Ways Mills, Quebec, Canada to Hector and Marie Anne (Bouffard) Fauteux on January 12, 1932. Gilles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Liliane (Guay) Fauteux.
He also leaves behind his nine children; Germain, France and Daniel Vadney, Mariane and Mark Anger, Pierrette and Robert Carter, Danielle and Alain Roy, Christiane and Nelson Barriere, Christian, Sylvain, Renelle and Ricky Gagnon. Gilles had 20 grandchildren; Karen and Glen Alvarado, Adam and Rhiannon Vadney, Erica and Craig Fielding, Jonathan Anger and Mindy MC Comas, Jessica and Anthony Katoke, Derek Carter, Keith Carter, Jason Carter, Nicholas Carter, Michael and Kristen Roy, Sonya Roy, Nathan Roy, Shane Barriere, Phylicia and Jake Chabot, Devin Fauteux, Kaitlin Fauteux, Jacob Fauteux, Shane Gagnon, Krystal and Jamie Niss, and Amanda Gagnon as well as 16 great-grandchildren. Gilles is predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
He is also survived by his 6 brothers, 8 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Gilles was a long time resident of Nashua, NH after moving his family here from Canada in 1969. He worked in the construction industry for 27 years and for the town of Litchfield Highway Department for 16 years before fully retiring at the age of 78.
He was well loved and respected. Gilles had a great ear for music and played the violin which was self-taught. He also loved to fish and hunt.
Gilles was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 30th from 4pm-7pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1st at 10am in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 West Hollis St., in Nashua. All may meet at church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Nashua.
