OBITUARY Jutta Orozco May 22, 1936 – November 25, 2018 Judy “Jutta” Grabowski Merida Orozco went to her eternal reward, on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Ruben Orozco; loving mother of Judy Bienvenu (Louis), Edgar Merida (Gerri), David Merida (Robin), and the late Carlos “Charlie” Merida; sister of Marianne Jones and the late Col. Norbert Grabowski; grandmother of Hollylynn Merida, Louis Bienvenu, Jr. (Kacie), Marc Bienvenu (Melanie), Brittany Barker (Scott), Elizabeth Camp (Bryan), Rebecca Merida, Abigail Labit (Michael), Jeanne Guillot (Michael), and the late Robert Seemann, Jr.; great-grandmother of Jaxon, Julia, Jasper, Sloane, and Graedon Bienvenu, Michael Labit, Jr., and Molly and Mary Guillot.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ana Grabowski, niece, Judy Ann Wallace, and nephew, Christopher Tyson Jones. Judy was born in pre World War II Germany, and emigrated to the United States with her family in 1946. She attended McDonough High School and went on to become a Catholic school teacher at St. Mary Magdalen.

She later worked as a secretary and interpreter in the steamship industry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 12 noon.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Judy’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
