Ginger Hargis, 67, of Pinon Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Veilleux officiating.

Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ginger Hargis was born May 15, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Harvel Lee and Charlotte (Wagner) Vessels. She attended Carlsbad schools and moved to Ft.

Worth with her family during her senior year, graduating from high school in Ft. Worth. Ginger married Larry F. Hargis August of 1969.

She was dedicated to raising Jason and Meagan and in later years she loved spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as “Nana”. Ginger enjoyed reading and never missed an episode of Family Feud. She thoroughly cherished holiday celebrations and loved spending quality time with all her family.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry F. Hargis; brother, James “Butch” Vessels and sister, Phyllis May. Survivors are her son, Jason Hargis and Lenore Armendariz of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Meagan Shott and husband, Michael of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Bryce Hargis and Darby Allison, Mason Shott and Matthew Shott, all of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandson, Gannon Frank Hargis; brother-in-law, Weldon May and several nieces and nephews.
