Born in Italy, he came to the United States in 1973. He lived in Elmwood Park for 30 years before settling in Hasbrouck Heights 4 years ago.

He worked for Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack snack for 8 years, retiring in 2015. Beloved husband of Giovanna (nee Verderosa), loving father of Davide Garofalo & Agnes Irwin, proud grandfather of Mason, Emily, Madison, Allegra and Logan, dear brother of Carmine Garofalo, Foorenzo Garofalo, Francesco Garofalo,Esterina Tufano, Maria Garofalo, Rita Monaco and the late Giovanni Garofalo Funeral Saturday 8:30 a.m. from the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park. Funeral Mass St. Leo’s R.C. Church, Elmwood Park 9:30 a.m. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
