Glen’s Obituary Glen E. Cook, age 87, of Jimtown, died unexpectedly of natural causes, at 9:07 pm, Friday, February 22, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born September 9, 1931 in Elkhart to Earl Abraham and Esther Eleanor (Shaum) Cook. He lived his lifetime in Jimtown.

He was a graduate of Jimtown High School. On May 6, 1951, he married Jane Caldwell . She preceded him in death January 3, 1998.

His 2nd marriage was to Joyce Stout May 20, 2000. Glen was a Dairy farmer and their farm was called the Baugo Valley Holstein Farm. For many years he drove school bus for Jimtown Schools.

He also drove a milk route for many years. He was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church. He judged Holstein Shows all over the United States and in foreign countries.

He was a lifetime member of the Holstein Association of America. He was a Master Breeder and honorary member of the Indiana Holstein Association and a member of the Belgium Horse Association. Glen was an avid Jimtown Sports fan.

He had enjoyed participating and attending all Jimmie sporting events. He was also a fan of the Detroit Tigers and Purdue. Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Tom (Diana) Cook, Elkhart, Cindy (Mark) Campbell, Elkhart, Monte (Katherine) Cook, Mishawaka, Ned (Marla) Cook, Goshen; grandchildren, Travis (Nicole) Campbell, Traci (Nick) Sweazy, Candace (Matthew) Nelson, Justin (Claire) Cook, Stephanie Cook, Cassandra Cook, Mackenzie (Zach) Hill, Shane Cook; and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Doris Cook and Phyllis Burgner. Family and friends may call from 1-3 Friday, March 1st at Jamestown United Methodist Church. Memorial services will begin at 3 pm.

Pastor Steve Loft will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Jamestown United Methodist Church Community Services or Elkhart County Humane Shelter.
