Glenda S. Copeland of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, formerly of Mineral Wells, Texas was born to Emmett and Hazel Strickland on August 4, 1944 in Harlan, Kentucky and passed from this life on March 19, 2019 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. Glenda grew up and attended school in Harlan, Kentucky. She worked as a nurse’s aide, baby sitter, and in day care.

Glenda loved people and her loving, vibrant spirit lit up the room. You never forgot her once you met her. She had a strong will to live for the highlights of her life, her family and grandchildren.

After a short struggle to breast cancer, she earned her angel’s wings. She is rejoicing with her loved ones. The family would like to thank the staff at Washita Valley, Pauls Valley Care Center, Alpha Hospice, her friends, and a special thank you to Nurse Megan Heiskill for all her loving care.

Mrs. Copeland is survived by: Son: Don Nickell, Jr. and wife Ruby of Mineral Wells, Texas 2 daughters: Melinda Crawford and husband Richard of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Suzanne Stover and husband Jeff of Grandbury, Texas 6 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren, and 1 -great-great-grandchild Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by: Her husband: Don Nickell Parents: Emmett and Hazel Strickland Brother: Leroy Strickland Sister: Carolyn Irk Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Wooster Funeral Home in Pauls Valley. A graveside service will be held in Texas at a later date. .
