Glenn T. “Tom” Ritz, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on May 7, 2018, in Austin. A Gathering of Friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Born April 22, 1949, in Jackson County, Tom was the son of Kenneth and Carole June Bohall Ritz.

He married Patsy Everage on October 15, 2000. She survives. He retired from Newsome Industries in Columbus, IN, in 2009.

Tom enjoyed golf, gardening, woodworking and fishing. Tom is survived by his wife, Patsy Ritz of North Vernon; his father, Kenneth Ritz of Columbus; daughter, Mara Ritz of Columbus; son, Levi Ritz of North Vernon; step-children, Terry Angel of Indianapolis, Melissa Smallwood of North Vernon, and Kristina Brewer of North Vernon; brother, Kenneth R. Ritz, Jr. of Florida; two sisters, Martha Napier of Columbus and Joyce Ann Dempsey of Hope; four grandchildren, Alexandria Hollman, Ethan Hall, Bailey and Isaiah Ritz. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Ritz.
