OBITUARY Gloria Cucullu Kochenower June 11, 1924 – July 7, 2018 NEW IBERIA- Graveside services will be conducted for Gloria Cucullu Kochenower at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Holy Family Mausoleum with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. A native of New Orleans and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Kochenower passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at her residence.

She was 94. Born on June 11, 1924 to the late Walter and Josephine Ronquillo Cucullu, Gloria was one of two children. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Marcellus Catholic Church who devoted her time to the service of others.

Gloria was an advocate for higher education and would regularly teach literacy to seniors who did not know how to read or write. Gloria was very artistic. She spent a lot of her free time drawing, painting, reading, listening to music, and playing the organ.

Gloria will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Kevin Kochenower and wife Marta of Stillwater, OK; daughter, Judith Williams of New Iberia; granddaughter, Jamie Stewart and husband Paul of Jacksonville, FL; and great grandson, Hunter Stewart. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Kochenower, Sr.; son, Benjamin Kochenower, Jr.; parents, Walter and Josephine Ronquillo Cucullu; and brother, Lester A. Cucullu.
