Obituary for Gloria D. Rivers Gloria D. Rivers, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died at Holbrook On The Hill Nursing Home on Friday, September 7, 2018. She was born July 12, 1931, in Manhattan, NY a daughter of the late William Carl and Emily Losch Kunz. She is survived by two sons: Eric and wife Carolin Klein of Buckhannon and Eugene E. Johnson of Manhattan, NY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her one daughter Heidi L. Klein. She became a licensed practical nurse in 1961 and truly enjoyed taking care of the elderly in nursing homes her entire career. Gloria strove to continuously broaden her knowledge in many fields including gardening, crafts, painting, sewing, the Word of God and natural health to not only benefit her own family, but to be of service to others.

She also took great pleasure in being of assistance to charitable organizations and loved to socialize by being a part of the ladies BUNKO group at the Buckhannon Country Club. A memorial gathering will be held at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 14th from 4:30 to 6:00 The Rivers family has entrusted the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services with arrangements.
