Gloria Wolcott peacefully passed away Saturday following a short illness. She was preceded in death by Charles, her husband of 42 years, step sister Maude Caddy, brother Harold Pike and sister-in-law Helen Pike. She is survived by her brother Jack Pike, son, Jack (Susie) Wolcott, daughter, Cheri (Jim) Williams, daughter-in-law, Vi Wolcott, ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Gloria savored her role as family matriarch during annual holiday and numerous birthday celebrations, where she was entertained by, and entertained, children of all ages. A commitment of both prayer and service to the Methodist Church were also hallmarks of her life. She sang in the choir and was a member of UMW / Trinity Mt Bethel Circle and a member of the HU Club at Trinity Methodist Church.

Following the closure of the Trinity Methodist Church, she continued her charitable work with other members of the congregation in supporting the annual Harvest Dinner. This fundraiser provided the dollars for her group’s monthly work in making and distributing sandwiches for Butte’s homeless. Special thanks to Gloria’s friends, Joyce Clemo and Tom Carroll for always providing transportation when needed, and the staff of Saint James Healthcare who made a difficult time bearable.
