Gloria I. Stout, 91, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 12, 2018 at Eicher’s Care Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 13, 1927 in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of the late Leo F. and Helen S. (Robinson) Oppman. Gloria was a member of the First Christian Church and later became a member of the Pennsville Baptist Church.

She worked at the Connellsville Township Elementary School as a Librarian until her retirement and was a stockholder of Oppman Auto Parts. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Gloria is survived by her sons, Gary Stout and wife Ruth of Connellsville, Richard Stout and wife Barbara of Acme, Rodney Stout of Connellsville and Greg Stout and companion Brenda Minerd of Connellsville; grandchildren, Jacinta and Matt Ptacek of Connellsville, Chad and Kelly of Fairchance, Jason and Becky of Connellsville, Andrew of Connellsville, Stacey Sweeney and husband Francis of New Kensington, Jessica A. Stout of Acme, Brandon C. Stout, Lindsay Stout, Sarah Stout, and Benjamin Stout who are all of Connellsville; 12 great-grandchildren and nephew, Rick Atkinson of Tempe, AZ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stout; daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Stout; brother, Leo Stout, Jr. and grandson, Matthew Richard Stout. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Robert Bixel officiating.
