Evelyn Mae Riley Smith, 91 of Scottdale, died Thursday afternoon, July 5, 2018 in Scottdale Manor and Rehabilitation Center, East Huntingdon Twp. , while being comforted by her loving family. She was born November 16, 1926 in Mt.

Pleasant, the daughter of the late William Franklin and Cora Ada Miller Riley. Evelyn was a longtime member of Scottdale Church of the Nazarene and attended the First Baptist Church of Scottdale. She was a graduate of the former Scottdale High School Class of 1944 and was a former employee of the former Scottdale Casket Co. In her spare time, she enjoyed Bowling where she and her late husband, Ron, were members of Hillview Lanes, Greensburg where they bowled Thursday and Fridays.

She was also a member of the Senior Bowling League and the former Scottdale Senior Citizens Organization. Evelyn also loved golfing with her late husband and playing bingo. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister to her family.

She was a friend to many and had a smile for everyone she met. Evelyn is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her Three Loving Children: Richard C. Smith and his wife Corinne of Hillsbourgh, N.J. Bruce H. Smith and his wife Patricia of Cranberry Twp.

Hensel and her husband Roger L. of Mill Run Her Four Grandchildren: Lindsie Marsteller of Cranberry Kamie Trudeau and husaband David of Baden Torrie La Mantia and husband Nicholas of Monroeville Her Three Great Grandchildren: Ellana Trudeau, Grayson Smith and Louis LaMantia Her Two Brothers: Harry Riley of Connellsville James Riley and his wife Joann of North Huntingdon And a number of Nieces and Nephews In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by: Her Husband of 62 years, Ronald C. Smith (June 23, 2010) Grandson: Tyler Smith (November 2017) Four Sisters: Frances Enberg, Edith Cook, Donna Lee DeLuca and Mary in infancy Three Brothers: John, Charles and William “Gilbert” Riley And a Sister in Infancy: Mary Riley Evelyn’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale Sunday from 2 -4 PM & 6 – 8PM. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11AM in the Funeral Home, where Pastor Dale White, of the First Baptist Church, Scottdale, is to Officiate. Chapel Services and Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
