Edward Walter Pieczynski, 101, of St. Anne’s Home, Greensburg died Friday, October 26, at Westmoreland Hospital. He was born October 20, 1917 in Uniontown, a son of the late Stanislaus & Agnes Pieczynski. Edward, along with his late wife Irene, owned and operated the Royal Bakery In Connellsville from 1938 until retirement in 1980.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville. He is survived by his children, Alan Pieczynski, Richard Mohall, Diana Downing ( Jim), Barry Pieczynski (Terry), Alec Pieczynski ( Kelly), and Carl Pieczynski ( Laura); grandchildren, Ian Pieczynski, Leann Manning (Ryan), Susan Szymanski ( Chad), Anna Downing, Julissa Arison (Allen), Stephen Pieczynski ( Melissa), Alexandra McCune, Bailey Pieczynski, Luke and John Pieczynski; great grandchildren, Nolan and Chase Manning; brother, Leo Pieczynski of Georgia; and also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Rifnosky) Pieczynski (1999); daughter, Sandra Lea Pieczynski Mohall; brother, Mike Pieczynski; and sisters, Josephine Shaffer & Valeria Ruper.

Family and friends will be received Monday from 2-8 p.m. in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where Prayers of Transfer will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville with Rev. Fr. Robert Lubic as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Connellsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception R.C.
