She was born on September 16, 1931, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, to Alfred and Eva (Breault) Girard. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force where she was a secretary to the general.

Gloria was a legal secretary once she left the military. She enjoyed writing. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO, where Gloria will receive full military honors. Time and date are to be announced. Care and arrangements are under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. – DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory, Springfield, MO.
