Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00PM at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron. The Reverend Tom Curruth will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley.

Mrs. Ray, was born in Tifton to the late Flora and John Dillard. She was a homemaker and later worked at Robins Air Force Base. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and watching Georgia and Alabama football.

She was a member of the Byron United Methodist Church and the Fort Valley Women’s Club. Survivors include, daughters, Cindy Moore Askew and Pam Moore Frame; grandchildren, Erin Askew Hill (Kevin), Cameron Askew ( Ashley), Jennifer Love and Templin Frame; great grandson, Brandon Foster; great granddaughters, Virginia Foster and Lilly Grace Hill; and a nephew, Boswell Lipsey ( Barbara). She is preceded in death by her husband , Danny Gene Ray, a sister, Era Lipsey , and a brother, Lloyd Dillard.

Donations may be made to Byron Methodist Church, 103 W. Heritage Blvd. , Byron, GA 31008 or The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
