Gracie Mozelle Phillips Mitchell September 24, 1934 – January 03, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook Mrs. Gracie Mozelle Phillips Mitchell was born September 24, 1934, near Waterloo, AL. She lived most of her life in Trumann until moving to Conway in 2009. She died January 3, 2019, at Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 9 days.

She was the eldest child of Emmett Lee and Lady Carrie Wood Phillips. She married Edward Earl Mitchell on December 22, 1951, and they were married for 54 years, until his death. She was a housewife and of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Ronald, Billy and Milton Phillips; and two sisters, Marcella Vernette Carter and Clara Lavon Burney. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Mitchell (Kim) of Cabot, AR and Steven Mitchell (Mary) of Jefferson City, MO; two sisters, Clista Faye Scott of Waterloo, AL and Mabel Rita Johnson; and two grandsons, Christopher Chase and Benton Thomas Mitchell. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.

A Celebration of her life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park in Harrisburg, AR.
