Gregory Gene Crowley, 56, of Slaughters, KY passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. He was born March 13, 1962 in Madisonville to Bobby Gene Crowley and the late Deloris June Carnal Crowley. He made his living as a farmer and was a member of Mt.

Gilead General Baptist Church in Slaughters. He was very involved in the Great Banquet community, and also a member of the Gideon’s. Greg also was a former Hopkins County Farmer of the Year.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kelly Weir Crowley of Slaughters; two sons, David Gregory (Tara) Crowley of Parksville, KY and Pate (JoAnna) Weir of Calhoun, KY; his father, Bobby Gene Crowley of Slaughters; his sister, Cris Crowley of Slaughters; and five grandchildren, Camden Crowley, Payton Weir, Ramsey Crowley, Sawyer Crowley, and Jake Weir. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church with Bro.

Steve Dame officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Manitou. Visitation will from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville and from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Matt Bell, Jeff Bell, Jason Eastwood, Andy Bell, Pete Phelan, Alvin Russ, and Dave Hendrix. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon’s. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
