Obituary for Gregory William Baran Print Gregory William Baran, 65, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Palmetto General Hospital, Hialeah, Fla. Born March 14, 1953, in Uniontown, Pa. , to the late Andrew Daniel Baran and Anna Margaret (nee Kikta) Baran Shrodes, Gregory grew up in Willoughby and graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1971.

Gregory moved to Miami Springs in 1971, where he resided until his death. He spent 33 years as an electrician working for Tri-City Company. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local 349.

Gregory is survived by his son, Daniel of Mill Valley, Calif. ; aunts, Hilda Kikta of Lake City, Fla. , and Gert Carlson of Everett, Wash.

; step-siblings; and many cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Gregory’s caregivers, Ivette Funcia and Barbara O’Brien for their loving and dignified care for many years. Their devotion to his care and avocation for his needs is greatly appreciated.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. Memorial Donations may be made to Catholic Hospice, 14875 NW 77th Ave. , Suite 100, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
