Hannah M Mees January 09, 2019 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries Hannah Maxine Mees, 40, of Chillicothe, passed away at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness. She was born March 31, 1978 in Columbus, Ohio to Bruce and Angela Sommers Mees. Hannah was a beloved fiancé, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

She is survived by her fiancé Mike Temple; parents; step-parents, Kathy Mees and Brian Wheeler; sisters, Amanda (Adrian) Cunningham and Madalyn (Jeff) Brown; a brother, Jonathon Mees and fiancée Porsche Elliott; maternal grandmother, Vitura Sommers; nieces and nephews, whom she adored, Alysia Cunningham, Alison and Charles Brown, Josephine Mees, and Roman and Maizey Van Hoy. At Hannah’s request, she will soon have a very special niece that will be her namesake, Hannah Cunningham, due in April; many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family is forever grateful for Hannah’s fiancé, Mike for the loving care gave to Hannah throughout her illness.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather James Sommers, and paternal grandparents, Ray and Maxine Mees. Hannah was a certified gemologist who used her love and knowledge of jewelry to bring joy and make an impact in peoples’ lives. Hannah worked alongside her mother in their family business, Mees Jewelry in Chillicothe.

Hannah also traveled for many years working in jewelry stores in port cities from Alaska to the US Virgin Islands. Hannah excelled at assisting customers find that special piece of jewelry that would solidify a special memory in someone’s heart. Hannah lived her life to the fullest, every day.

Anyone lucky enough to have known Hannah will tell you a story or two, everyone has them. Hannah had an infectious smile and lit up every room with her presence. She was beautiful, outgoing, fun, powerful, radiant, compassionate and fiercely loyal to her family and friends.

She will be forever in our hearts and although they are heavy, we celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us all. A Celebration of Hannah’s life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Christopher Conference Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
