He was born April 2, 1944, in Chillicothe, to the late George and Ruth Mick Heiss. On July 15, 1968, he married the former Julia “Kathy” Dailey who died November 22, 2012.

Surviving are a sister, Patti (Ken) Pelfrey, of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Marleen Harvey; a brother-in-law, Denny Dailey; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Jeannette Arledge. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours.
