Harley T. Eichhorn age 67 of Marysville, passed away July 1, 2018 at Daysprings of Miami Valley. Born in Reno, Ohio on April 10, 1951 the son of George and Berneada (Haas) Eichhorn he had been an Ashland county resident for 40 years. Mr. Eichhorn was a well know area Football and Baseball Coach and was retired from the Ashland City Schools.

On May 28,1975, Harley was married to Sandy Liston who survives. In addition to his wife Sandy he is also survived by six children, Dan (Rita) Clinage of Washington State; Jason Clinage of Moore, South Carolina; Scott Eichhorn of Las Vegas, Nevada; Heidi (Michael) Stieber of Raleigh, North Carolina; Stacy (Bill) Stidham of Marysville and Casey (Christina) Eichhorn of Duncan, South Carolina. Eleven Grandchildren and one sister Deb Eichhorn also survive as well as his beloved German shepherd, Max.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Barbara Adams. Mr. Eichhorn had a passion for coaching sports, he was a Head Coach for Baseball and Football at Hardin Northern, Ashland City Schools, Northwestern, Holy Name School, Strongsville Schools, Maple Heights and Revere Schools. He was named the Times Gazette Baseball Coach of the Year Twice in 1998 and again in 2006.

His coaching carrer record was 308 wins and 201 losses. He also coached American Legion Baseball. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed trains and N Scale Model Railroading.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Greg Gorrell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park.
