Rick E. Miller age 53 of Ashland, passed away on Sunday September 23, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous five year battle with cancer. Born in Ashland on January 2, 1965 the son of Phillip and Diane (Biddinger) Miller, he was an Ashland resident all of his life. Mr. Miller was employed at Custom Hoist and also was a mechanic for Solomon Cars.

On November 14, 1987 Rick was married to Jamie McQuillen who survives. In addition to his wife Jamie, Mr. Miller is survived by four children, Callie (TJ) Knowlton of Ashland, Chase Miller of Ashland, Travis (Kelly) Eighinger of Ashland and Jen Landis of Mansfield. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Charlee Knowlton, Kinsley Knowlton, Reagan Emmons, Addie Emmons, Colt Landis, Hallie Eighinger and Taylor Eighinger.

His Step Mother, Jean Miller, Mother in law, Dolores McQuillen; Brother and sister in law, Randy (Mickie) Miller of Ashland, Sister in Law Joni (Jim) Dunn, Brother in law Jim McQuillen and nieces and nephews also survive. His beloved dog Rylee also survives. Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his mother, Diane Biddinger, Step Father, Don Biddinger and Father in law, Jim McQuillen.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Ashland Eagles Aerie 2178 Rick was known as a very selfless man who always put his family first. He was a hardworking man who always had a smile on his face. He was a great father, husband, son and brother.

Rick was known to make an impact on anyone’s life he was around. His kids and grandkids were the light of his life. He always made sure to make his kids friends his own.
