Obituary for Ruth Hall Ruth Ann Hall, 91 Ruth Ann Hall, 91 of Wellington, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. Ruth was born October 4, 1926 in Ashland, Ohio, the daughter of John Charles and Beulah Faye (Cottrell) Dilgard. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1944 and from Ohio Business Institute, Wooster, Ohio in 1973.

She had been employed at the A.L. Garber Co., Ashland College, and Sherwin-Williams Graphic Arts, North Olmsted. Ruth was a member of the Wellington First United Methodist Church and a former member of Ashland Emmanuel United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was music librarian. She had lifetime interests in music, art, reading, and golf.

She was an early member of the Ashland Art Club, specializing in oils and water colors. She was co-founder and charter president of the Ashland County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society and was the first librarian of the chapter. Ruth was a previous member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants; also the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lucy Barnum Chapter, Adrian, Michigan.

In Oberlin she was a 20-year member of the Senior Citizen Looms & Needles program. Ruth married Robert C. Hall in 1944. Surviving are son, Richard C. Hall of Ashland; two grandsons, Randall J. (Michelle) Hall of Circleville and Russell E. (Sarah) Hall of Asheville, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Charles K. Dilgard and Richard A. Dilgard, both of Lebanon, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest grandson, Ryan C. Hall; and her sister, Betty L. Keener. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Ignatius David officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A meal and time of fellowship will be held in the Legacy Room of the funeral home following the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 127 Park Place, Wellington, Ohio 44090.
