Gladys Snider, 92, Jasper GA, died Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Serenity/Sonshine Mountain Manor after a long illness. Gladys was born near Olive Hill, KY on March 8, 1926 to the late Ralph and Dora (Erwin) Fannin. She married Donald E. Snider on June 30, 1947, who preceded her in death on February 6, 2010.

Gladys lived most of her life in Mansfield, Ohio followed by several years in Ashland OH. Gladys and her husband were members of the Ashland Church of Christ. She moved to Jasper GA after the death of her husband to live with her son and daughter-in-law.

She then became an active member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Jasper GA and was a weekly volunteer at the Community Thrift Store in Jasper GA. Prior to retiring, Gladys was a hostess at Perkins Family Restaurant in Ashland Ohio for 39 years. Gladys is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Carol Snider, of Jasper GA, two grandchildren Tracy (Randy) Oehling of Manassas VA and Chad (Kelly) Snider of West Salem OH, two great grandchildren Heather Timmons and Ryan Oehling, and one sister Loraine McFadden of Ashland OH, and three nieces and one nephew.

In addition to her husband Donald, Gladys was preceded in death by her sister, Madge Byrd. Friends may call Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 pm at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad Street, Ashland OH. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Ashland Church of Christ, 1185 Co Rd 1356 with Pastor Tim Nowlin officiating.

Graveside service will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park, Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Headquarters, 225 N. Michigan Ave. , Fl 17, Chicago IL 60601 or to the Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 389 Bent Tree Drive Jasper, GA.
